to have any questions answered.

Step 2

You will receive a questionnaire
to fill out as best you are able.
When you have finished it,
email back and we will set to work.

Step 3

Within 48 hours (or sooner if needed), you will receive your eulogy.
It will be beautifully written
and crafted to sound like you.
If you want any revisions or alterations, these are done in a timely fashion.

How much does it cost?

Our Eulogies cost a set rate of $300.

How can I pay?

Payment is made through PayPal or Direct Deposit into a bank account.

How many minutes will you write?

Our eulogies are designed to be anywhere between 3 – 10 minutes. There are different choices in the questionnaire to make it clear.

What can or will be included in the eulogy?

That depends on what you want and how much time you have allocated for your eulogy. Our questionnaire categories you can choose from are- “Honour the person’s life and farewell”, “Share memories and anecdotes”, “Give brief history of person’s life, family, career, achievements” and “Offer thanks and gratitude”.

  • The eulogy can have funny elements if you choose, but it doesn’t have to.
  • The eulogy can have religious elements if you choose, but it doesn’t have to.
  • The eulogy is written in the style and words you answer the questionnaire with.

What if I’m sharing a eulogy with another person (eg. a sibling), can you help?

Yes, there is an option for shared eulogies and there is no extra cost.

Will the eulogy really be ready within 48 hours?

Yes. Always.

The funeral is within 48 hours. Can you do it sooner and how much extra will that cost?

Yes, we can write it sooner and there will be no extra charge. Please phone or text to alert of us of the situation, especially if there is less than 12 hours. Please give us as much time as possible however as creativity takes time.

Who will write my eulogy?

We do! Your words from the questionnaire are blended with ours to create something special.

The Head Writer and founder of Love Legacy is Margie McCumstie. Margie is a Funeral Celebrant with Metamorphis Ceremonies, Author and Speaker and loves creating meaningful and memorable eulogies, weaving heartfelt words to create the perfect eulogy- a legacy of love.

Margie has a back-up writer for when life gets crazy, who understands the importance of a eulogy that shares and celebrates your loved one’s life. Jodi Hughes is the Chairperson of Reach Homeless Services and an all-round amazing woman!

Why do you do this?

We care. We are good with words. It is our contribution in the world.

After years of performing funerals, when Margie’s Dad was dying in June 2019, she was faced with the great honour of writing his funeral ceremony and shared it with him 24 hours prior to his death. Margie then led his funeral one week later including a personalised eulogy. It was one of the hardest things Margie has ever done. With the right words, a dash of courage and a commitment to honour your loved one’s memory, Margie knows how powerful words can be in creating a love legacy.
